XFlex X2 Showcase during Open House in South Africa

Next September 18, 2014 XFlex X2 will demonstrate its potential to South African label converters at customer Label Link of Cape Town.

OMET and its representative for South Africa Presstec announce the organization of an Open House next September 18 at customer Label Link of Cape Town, whose owner, Mr. Stemmet, has accepted to open doors and make its XFlex X2 available for demonstrations.

XFlex X2 has been designed to reduce set-up times and waste to a minimum and make the operators’ work as easy as possible. In fact, traditional equipment, like printing cylinders, coexist with OMET’s most advanced innovations, offered as standard on the press: the shortest web path available on the market, a quick ink change system, and chilled drums which make it possible for converters to switch between self-adhesive and flexible film printing as low as 12 microns.

The electronic equipment of XFlex X2 include cross printing registration adjustments and printing and die-cutting automatic pre-register. All this, in addition to the machine top quality components and peculiar robustness, allow to achieve the highest quality and make of XFlex X2 the ideal press for all the companies who do not look for extreme production automation.

The XFlex X2 line at Label Link is 370mm wide with 8 UV flexo colors, cold foil and die-cutting. The day will start with the warm welcome by Presstec, followed by the introduction to OMET’s range of machines by Sergio Villa, OMET regional manager. The attendees will be then invited to assist to demos on different materials and print subjects. Past demo time, it will be possible to schedule one-to-one meetings with Presstec and OMET’s representatives. Both companies’ staff will be on hand for the duration of the event to answer to any technical or commercial question.

It is the first official presentation of XFlex line of packaging printing machines in South Africa and the very first event of this kind, with a customer opening its factory to other converters. This is going to be possible thanks to the great confidence established between the agent and OMET and the agent and the customer. Presstec Team, Antron and Linton Hendricks in the first place, have shown great ability in dealing with the customers and a deep knowledge of the local market; both abilities have contributed to the signing of two orders in a quite short time.

During the month of September OMET is showcasing quite contemporarily on the global stage all the presses belonging to the XFlex line: XFlex X6 and XFlex X4 will be on stage at Labelexpo Americas (Rosemont, Illinois, 9-12 September) and XFlex X2 in Cape Town, South Africa on September 18, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
