Web Converting Solutions grows with GM
Newly established Web Converting Solutions, which was recently appointed the Omet agent for the UK and Ireland, has strengthened its position by adding the agency for Grafisk Maskinfabrik A/S, the Danish manufacturer of narrow web converting lines.
Speaking for the company, founder and Managing Director Paul Briggs said: “I’m delighted to be asked to represent two of the best-known brands in the industry and am looking forward to bringing my 30 years of experience to bear on the British and Irish markets, which I know well.”
For both Omet and GM, these markets offer great potential as they have long been strongholds for the label and narrow web business. Briggs, who was formerly with Mark Andy and Xeikon, brings flexo and digital expertise to the printing side of the business, which was acknowledged by Omet’s Sergio Villa, who said: “This will be invaluable with our recent launch of the XJet line in partnership with Durst.”
Speaking for GM, Morten Toksvaerd commented: “We are looking forward to developing our UK and Irish business through Web Converting Solutions in what is a dynamic marketplace.” For both suppliers, the new appointment shows a greater commitment to customers in the region and the opportunity to provide locally based advice and support.
Concluding, Paul Briggs stated: “The narrow web market has often been the pioneer of package printing technology, and there are great opportunities with both manufacturers to build a strong customer base here.”
