VPF sets the course for the future: New Sales and Technical Directors with broad industry background
Building on its strong growth over the last years, VPF GmbH & Co. KG has now set a decisive course for the future. With new leadership in key management functions, the Germany-based supplier of specialty self-adhesive materials intends to consolidate on its solid performance and successively expand its business in European markets.
Dr. Rainer Rauberger (46), the new Sales and Marketing Director within the company since the beginning of this year, is an economist who is also deeply familiar with the industry. Before joining VPF, he spent 15 years working at Henkel in Düsseldorf, mainly in the industrial business as European Sales Manager for pressure-sensitive adhesives. As a specialist in adhesives and coatings, he not only brings extensive expertise in the market for self-adhesive labels and tapes, but also has a comprehensive background in self-adhesive films for the graphics arts industry. As the basis for growing VPF’s business further, Rauberger aims to accelerate the development of new and innovative products in the specialties segment and unlock further market potentials.
Stronger presence in Germany and Europe
In addition, VPF will be expanding its market presence in important tar-get markets. A key role will be played here by Dirk Balzer with his long experience and profound knowledge of the market. As Sales Manager for North Germany and The Netherlands, he will in future be working in direct contact with key customers to jointly generate new business and bring additional momentum to develop and grow the company. In cre-ating this new position, VPF is building on the positive results achieved by Sales Manager Kai Klimek, who was appointed in 2011 for the South Germany region and has significantly grown the business in this area through continuous development of new and innovative projects. Further plans include expansion of exports by gaining new sales partners across Europe.
Continuity and experience in Technical management
Somewhat earlier, on 1 December 2014, Mr Holger Steinbach took over the position of Technical Director from Werner Burschil, who had reached retirement age and left the company at the end of the year.
The 45-year old engineering graduate also has wide industry experi-ence. He had been recruited to VPF already in February 2014 as part of the company’s succession plans to ensure continuity. Prior to that, he was plant manager at x-film Selbstklebefolien in Lindlar, where he was responsible for operations and strategic aspects of all technical areas, ranging from product development and manufacturing to quality assurance.
With new leadership in these key management functions, VPF aims to strengthen its market position as an idea generator, reliable partner and problem solver in the area of self-adhesive labelstock and coatings. With its broad and flexible portfolio of innovative products, strong development record, customer orientation and commitment to quality, the company has set its sights firmly on the future.
