UPM Raflatac at Labelexpo Asia 2015
Labelexpo Asia 2015 takes place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on December 1-4, 2015. At the exhibition, UPM Raflatac will be presenting a range of innovative materials which support eye-catching designs for maximum shelf appeal, and showcasing the latest solutions to help label printers and brand owners stand out in a competitive market.
UPM Raflatac will also be highlighting product safety. A new food-safe adhesive for direct food contact complies with the relevant regulations on food packaging to ensure consumer safety. The new adhesive applies to various types of food packaging and tolerates moisture and oils. UPM Raflatac’s pharmaceutical labelling range offers technically advanced solutions which meet the requirements of the latest legislation.
Chemically safe labels have become an important consideration for brand owners in the textile industry. UPM Raflatac now offers an APEO-free apparel labelling material. In addition to addressing concerns over the toxicological and environmental effects of APEO, these label materials remove without leaving adhesive residue to guarantee that clothing looks its best. But most importantly, they are a guarantee of safety.
UPM Raflatac will be giving a print on-demand industrial chemical labelling demonstration in cooperation with iSys. The demonstration will feature Globally Harmonized System (GHS) compliant labels and labels approved to BS5609 standards for marine use.
Also at Labelexpo Asia 2015, UPM Raflatac will introduce the ‘Label Life’ concept together with a new online tool which helps label printers and brand owners assess the environmental impacts of their label materials. Label Life enables informed choices to reduce the environmental footprint of self-adhesive labels while also improving productivity.
