UPM Raflatac exhibiting pharmaceutical labelling solutions at InnoPack 2013
UPM Raflatac’s team of pharmaceutical labelling experts is present at the InnoPack exhibition on 22-24 October in Frankfurt, Germany. On stand 41B50 in hall 4.1, UPM Raflatac presents a comprehensive range of high-quality and leading-edge materials supported by global R&D and technical resources.
As a leading supplier of self-adhesive label materials, UPM Raflatac works in close cooperation with the industry partners, carefully monitoring the trends and market needs. A full spectrum of pharmaceutical labelling requirements is covered by the dedicated label materials, and high performance adhesives with characteristics such as high cohesion for small diameter labelling, luminescence for missing label detection and resistance to sterilization. Options for security and anti-counterfeiting features protect patient and consumer safety, traceability and brand equity.
At InnoPack, UPM Raflatac’s experts present the migration-safe RP 31 Purus adhesive specially developed for labelling liquid-filled containers made from non-glass materials such as LDPE, also in small diameters. This high-performance adhesive fulfils and exceeds requirements in medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare applications where the risk of migration must be minimized. RP 31 Purus is in compliance with the demands of the Code of Federal Regulations, Food and Drugs (FDA), 21 CFR Ch. I (April 1, 2011 edition) 175.105 and it meets European Food contact regulations based on Food Framework Regulation 1935/2004. RP 31 Purus is covered by global change management processes including a minimum 12 months’ notice to qualify new materials, a last-call option to allow bulk purchasing before production discontinuation, and a minimum 36 months’ rolling availability of unchanged materials.
