The best LABELEXPO to date according to PRATI, Italy’s leading brand for label finishing solutions.

Just a week after the trade show closed in Brussels, PRATI is celebrating the most successful edition to date. Attracting visitors from around the world to the PRATI booth were 12 different solutions, some of which geared up for ongoing live demonstrations. A featured VR initiative also drew visitors curious to get a closer look at the technologies developed by the leading Italian manufacturer. However the machine which managed to turn most heads on the booth was the highly-acclaimed DIGIFAST ONE, the digital finishing platform released at LABELEXPO 2015, now performing at speeds of up to 90 m/min. Manufactured in batches of 10 machines at a time during the run-up to the exhibition, plans to increase production are already being evaluated following the encouraging signs received at the trade show.

Sales & Marketing Director Chiara Prati told us: “We were confident the DIGIFAST would become a benchmark product when it was launched in 2015. Today we are overwhelmed by the response it is receiving from key players around the world. Furthermore, the FLASH PASS function we demonstrated this year in Brussels really swept visitors off their feet. It combines the machine’s intrinsic speed with a host of finishing processes including cold foil / varnishing, die-cutting, inspection, slitting and rewinding.” She concluded: “Over 2500 visitors - and curiously that’s as many as the machines we have installed around the world - from 32 different countries; these numbers are the first reward for our team’s effort in organising the exhibition. We now expect a second reward which will enable us to move from 2017 into 2018 setting new commercial records for the company.”

DIGIFAST ONE ensures greater productivity, much less waste and very little downtime between jobs. It runs a fully operational semi-rotary print and die-cutting register mode. Whereas semi-rotary die-cutting alone will reach higher speeds, the DIGIFAST outperforms all its competitors for semi-rotary printing and die-cutting at a maximum speed of 90 m/min.

High-level embellishments achieved for wine labels using a ROFO device which was fully integrated into the DIGIFAST demonstrated ultimate quality for hot stamping, embossing and debossing applications. Visitors also appreciated the excellent quality of the 2-ply labels and sandwich labels processed on the VEGA Plus BKL.
