Stora Enso upgrades MediaCard, the single layer board with the extra value

Stora Enso introduces improved MediaCard, a single layer (SL) board with a double silk coated surface. After the first launch of MediaCard in 2012, Stora Enso has improved the bulk and stiffness according to customer and market needs.

“With the re-launch of MediaCard Stora Enso completes its Packaging and Graphical Board offering for brandowners, designers, converters and printers. The high-white, bright and silky smooth surface of MediaCard supports excellent print results and is suitable for a wide range of graphical end uses and packaging such as covers, folders, folding boxes, cards, tags, tickets, posters, game cards and shopping bags”, says Eckhard Kallies, Vice President Stora Enso Speciality Papers.

Marcus Weise, Business Development Manager Stora Enso Speciality Papers adds: “We have learned from our customers that the smooth and silky surface of MediaCard in combination with its extremely high brightness and whiteness is highly appreciated by the brand owners and consumers. With the improved bulk and stiffness we can reach a much wider market such as graphical and packaging applications which demand a remarkably high visual appearance”. MediaCard is produced at Stora Enso’s Uetersen mill in Germany with a double silk coated surface on either one or two sides. Free of charge samples can be requested by e-mail to mediacard@storaenso.com. Come and visit the Stora Enso stand B20-1 in Hall 09 at Interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
