Lecco, 10th October 2011
Labelexpo Europe 2011 has been really satisfying for Omet, a lot of crowds visited its booth and watched at all demonstrations of the 3 presses on display. Interest of visitors has been very high for all Omet news: “We had great expectations from this year’s Labelexpo after such an amount of innovation we presented - comments Marco Calcagni, Omet Sales Director - the launch of the XFlex X4 press, the new offset group with sleeves in the XFlex range, a breakthrough matrix removal unit available on our whole machine range. Not to speak of the release 2 of our Register control system VISION and the “Transparent Factory” Machine Management System that creates a bridge between the press and any customer’s informative system”.
Though, presses and related systems were not the only news OMET reserved to customers and professionals in Brussels. OMET has, in fact, introduced with this Show a new style in communication and put great attention in making it consistent in every aspect of its participation: from the booth layout to the company documentation and overall presentation. Labelexpo has marked a turning point for OMET marketing communications, more is yet to come.
The debut of XFlex X4
The XFlex X4, a totally new press with print cylinders, belonging to the XFlex range, is inheriting from its elder sister X6 an even shorter web path, low wastage levels and simplicity in use, all characteristics, which have conquered label converters since Labelexpo 2007. The true revolution resides in the fact that this cost-efficient press, perfect for beginners or low budget converters, has twin servo-motors on each print unit and integrates the pre- and register system VISION-1 by OMET. Plus, it is a versatile press also offering user-friendliness, ergonomics of use and safe operation.
“The crowd gathered at each demo on XFlex X4, Varyflex V2 and XFlex X6 was a pleasure to watch and so the extra information we were required to supply after each performance”, continues Marco Calcagni, “this means that we still have the capability to excite and astonish the label market with inventions and equipment which are really what the industry needs and can solve our customers’ every day’s problems. This is the kind of improvement we believe in and strive for and we were happy to embody the most of Labelexpo printing press innovation in our booth”.
