Spear’s Cwmbran, Wales Facility Awarded ISO 14001 Environmental Certification

Spear's UK facility has achieved the ISO 14001 environmental accreditation, demonstrating their commitment to continual environmental improvement.

ISO 14001 is an international standard designed to help an organization identify and assess their environmental impact through a series of objectives, targets and written procedures.

Spear has taken a leadership position towards environmental programs for over 10 years, developing their own global corporate initiative Spear Earth®. This program addresses source reduction, recycling, eco-friendly materials, processing, supply chain involvement and external validation.

Spear was awarded the certification following a two day comprehensive audit.  SGS Group, Spear's auditors, described the result as "truly fantastic and exceptional" and went on to say that they felt the company had an "absolutely clear commitment to the program".
