Sleever International partakes in the Pentawards prize-list

Sleever International, the forerunner and worldwide leader of the sleeve concept, has been awarding for the past four years a Special Prize to the most remarkable creation among the limited and collectors series disclosed at the Pentawards. On the evening of 4th October 2012, in the lavish ballroom of the Paris Grand Intercontinental Hotel, the Raison Pure International Agency will be presented with this award worth 5,000 €, rewarding a very exquisite creation commissioned by Johnny Walker.  It is the prestigious “John Walker & Sons Diamond Jubilee” carafe, a strictly limited edition and mythical collector artwork designed to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 60 years reign. Created in perfect synergy with all the partners, the agency, brand and craftsmen, this carafe, shaped like a diamond, is held by 6 legs, as many as the number of decades of this royal jubilee, and its 60 carved facets representing the diversity and dynamics of the United Kingdom. Besides the one offered to Queen Elizabeth, sixty more were manufactured and will be sold to the benefit of a charity dear to Her Majesty: crafts apprenticeship.

Sleever International has also contributed to the Pentaward Special Award, which is presented by the founders of this event to a company, brand, agency or individual working for the blooming and dynamism of packaging design such as, over the past few years, Herb Meyers, Lars Wallentin, Karim Rashid, Mary Lewis, or even, like in 2010, to an association, the Japan Packaging Design Association, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary; another example: last year, the reward went to a product: the Coca-Cola bottle. On this occasion, Sleever organised a sleeve event celebrating the mythical bottle. This year, the jury decided to award this special prize to the Veuve Clicquot brand, for the creativity and diversity of its communication efforts, implemented with the outmost respect to business values and codes of conduct. It is a magnum bottle, beautifully adorned by Sleever for the occasion, and obviously compliant with the yellow-orange colour tones that have epitomized the brand since 1873, presented to Mr. Baraud, Champagne Packaging & POSM Development Manager for the LVMH Group, and Chloé Stefani, International Marketing Manager for the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin brand.

As Eric Fresnel, Chairman of Sleever International explains, “…this partnership is sheer evidence of our technological reactivity towards always enhancing and shaping the ideas, hence pushing forward the creativity of designers in order to ensure that every brand and every product become outstanding.”
