Schreiner MediPharm to Showcase New and Time-tested Functional Labels with Value-added Benefits for the Pharmaceutical Industry
At Pharmapack 2013 in Paris, held from February 13 to 14, Schreiner MediPharm will be showcasing its multi-functional marking solutions that optimize processes and increase patient safety. Highlights this year will be the new Pharma-Tac Plus label for infusion bottles, the Needle-Trap needle protection system that is already successfully being used on an international scale, plus the innovative labels for autoinjectors with extended functionalities.
Award-winning marking solution with added value: Pharma-Tac Plus label
The new Pharma-Tac Plus label performs several functions when marking infusion bottles. In addition to the hanger, the specialty label provides sufficient space for extensive product information plus detachable label parts to document the medication that has been administered. The innovation convinced the judging panel of the FINAT competition and was awarded a “Highly Commended” certificate in the “Innovation” category. Pharma-Tac Plus also scored in the TLMI Awards competition, where it received the first-place award in the flexo-printing category.
Continuous further development: Needle-Trap needle protection system
Leading pharmaceutical manufacturers are already using Needle-Trap by the millions, valuing the innovative approach and economy of the syringe label with integrated needle protection that allows easy integration into existing manufacturing processes due to its intelligent and compact design concept. Schreiner MediPharm has expanded its production capacities as a result of the huge success achieved by this unique label that protects against needlestick injuries. Previous experience has been incorporated into the design of the second line to ensure continuous optimization of the manufacturing process. (www.needle-trap.com)

Schreiner MediPharm has developed further functionalities for marking autoinjectors: a temperature indicator, UV protection for viewing windows, detachable label parts, counterfeit protection features and an option for abrasion-resistant subsequent variable marking can be additionally integrated into the labels. The new features enhance ease of use and increase patient safety for autoinjectors and can be combined individually. Each label is customized to meet the requirements of the relevant injection system.
