Rotoflex's New Canadian Facility Adds Technology Breadth and Showroom

New 12,000 square ft. building provides a dedicated technology center and demonstration showroom.

To further strengthen the company's position as a global leader in offline finishing solutions, Rotoflex recently moved their Canadian regional facility to a larger, new 12,000 square ft. building near Toronto. The expanded capacity brings a dedicated in-house showroom for live machine demonstrations and technology center for increased on-site engineering development and service.
Kevin Gourlay, vice president of Rotoflex said: "It has been an exciting year for Rotoflex. We saw a 34% increase of sales, launched a trio of new products into the market (HSI, Vericut3 and Security Series), and grew our headcount in sales, engineering, technical support and aftermarket service. This new facility was a necessary expansion to provide more local resources to the team based in the Toronto area."

"A key advantage we offer customers with existing Rotoflex machines is the option to retrofit or rebuild with our latest technology advancements," comments Manohar Dhugga, Rotoflex director of engineering and service. "Our first rebuild has been completed in our new Toronto technology center with great success, thanks to the extra capacity to accommodate machines, tooling, and workspace resources utilized by our local engineering and service team."

Rotoflex has a rich history which began in 1973 with the production of rotary tooling and later, converting equipment for the label printing industry. From pioneering the first vertical inspection slitting and rewinding machine, the Rotoflex brand is now recognized globally as an industry standard in inspection and rewinding equipment, offering solutions for virtually any application in any market, from blank die-cutting to the most sophisticated security inspection requirements.

In December, 2008 Rotoflex International was acquired by Mark Andy Inc. and is today a critical component of Mark Andy's Total Solutions Partner strategy. Rotoflex is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, with regional demonstration facilities in Canada, Poland and UK, in addition to sales and distribution offices worldwide.

"Another benefit the Rotoflex Canadian facility brings is tenure," adds Gourlay. "We have sales and engineering employees that have been with Rotoflex for 10+, 20+ and 30+ years. This speaks volumes in expertise when advising customers on finishing solutions best-suited for their production environment, and providing service and support to maximize efficiencies of older machines that continue to perform. Combined with the synergy of market leader Mark Andy and commitment to deliver business responsive technology, Rotoflex continues to be a reputable and solid brand in the industry."
