Nilpeter opens its account with FB 3300 at Labelexpo India 2012
Nilpeter has sold its first printing press to Mumbai-based Ajanta Packaging. The Nilpeter FB3300 on display at the Labelexpo India is a ten-colour servo flexo press, which is equipped with two rotary screen printing units and hot and cold foiling facility.
Ajanta Packaging is a multi-location printer with plants at Daman, Baddi and Dubai. The company already has an FB3300 installed at their plant but the present buy is better equipped. Commenting on the new purchase, Chandan Khanna, managing director, Ajanta Packaging, said, "We are trying to get the best and latest technology to make money by running production faster than the competition. We can challenge the competition only by increasing volumes nowadays." He added: "This is the best machine that uses a combination of technologies which will increase our production capacity by around 20%."
Khanna said that FMCG customers are on the company's radar as they need more high quality labels. "Labels have become the face of the products. It's a good marketing tool that does not cost even 1% of the product."
The company is also looking at the digital print technology but not in a hurry. "Yes, we will enter the digital arena but at this point of time the cost of the equipment and consumables are a bit on the higher side," he added.
