New overlaminating film from HERMA Self-adhesive Materials: Simple and effective label protection
- HERMA'S new overlaminating film makes paper labels suitable for use in harsh environments.
- It offers optimum protection against mechanical stresses, as well as moisture, greases and oils.
- It is therefore an economical alternative to expensive special materials or less reliable protective coatings.
Ready to use straight away
Because the overlaminating film is ready to use straight away, it is also ideally suited to small orders, such as those executed on digital printers. In contrast to solutions with non-self-adhesive monofilms or UV protective varnish, label printers can do without the additional coating unit for adhesive or varnish. Moreover, overlaminating films also have the edge over protective varnish as they are significantly more reliable. The overlaminating film is available in both "gloss clear" and "matt clear" along with gloss polyester options.
Thermal transfer printable
Additionally, the overlaminating film can do more than "just" protect. Despite the presence of the film, labels can still be printed with thermal transfer technology; the matt grade can even be marked with ball-point pen. The film also ensures improved label strength when dispensing. The increased stiffness is also beneficial for resealable labels in particular. The overlaminating film also has appearance benefits, thanks to the film, the colours of the labels appear much more vivid.
