New online store and EDI connection for self-adhesive materials
New online store and EDI connection for self-adhesive materials:
Secure and efficient ordering
• Introducing a user-friendly online store, HERMA Self-adhesive Materials offer better security and comfortable ordering to customers throughout the world.
• Alternatively, an EDI connection enables smooth integration into customers’ ERP systems
At this year’s LabelExpo, HERMA Self-adhesive Materials (hall 11, stand C40) will introduce two new electronic ordering options: a user-friendly online store at http://shop.herma-material.com and a comfortable EDI connection (Electronic Data Interchange) which enables the integration into customers’ ERP systems. The online store offers many advantages to registered customers compared to orders via telephone or fax: users can, for instance, store their material numbers and create templates for recurring orders. This not only reduces the users’ workload and saves time, but also ensures better reliability by eliminating sources of errors. In addition, the online store offers useful ordering assistance by visualizing the effective width and the off cut of materials that are not part of the net width range. The reel diameter is also visualized, which enables customers to better utilize the maximum reel diameter that is possible on their machines. On top of that, a special information portal contains further customer-specific data and analyses, such as sales statistics and downloadable data sheets and certificates. A simple input mask for orders helps reduce mouse clicks, since the input windows are automatically activated – this also saves time and increases security.
ERP interface
HERMA provides an EDI connection as an alternative to the online store. A special interface provided by HERMA allows customers’ ERP systems to directly communicate with the HERMA ordering system. This means even more security and ease of use for customers, who can process all orders in their accustomed software environment. “We will launch both ordering options for German and international customers at the LabelExpo”, says Ralf Drache, HERMA head of sales. “They are not at all meant to replace contact via telephone, fax, or email, or through personal contacts. However, many customers have shown great interest in further optimizing their ordering processes, especially regarding standard orders.”
