Matthias Puers appointed National Sales Manager Germany at SCREEN Europe
Matthias Puers has been appointed National Sales Manager Germany at SCREEN Europe, effective 1 September 2022. He will be responsible for sales of the Truepress Jet520HD range of high-speed inkjet printers in Germany.
Matthias Puers has extensive experience in the German print industry. Before joining SCREEN, he worked for two years as key account manager at Epple Druckfarben and before that for eight years as sales manager at Flint Group Germany. He started his career as an offset printer in Hamburg, at Lagebartels und Jürgens, and later evolved into technical operations manager at Print 64 and later technical and sales manager at Igepa Group, E.Michaelis & Co.
Puers says: “I am really excited to have the opportunity to support and represent SCREEN in the printing industry. Numerous contacts underlined SCREEN's excellent reputation when it comes to service and quality when I said I would work for the firm. They know what they do, and customers trust their name.”
Matthias Puers’ sales activities will be focused on the Truepress Jet520HD. Digital printing is on the rise in Germany, Matthias says. “Digital presses require less energy and don’t use chemicals nor metal plates, so they are better for the planet, which is just one of its big plusses.”
“Demand for high speed inkjet will continue to grow, as costs of digital printing are coming down every year, making it more cost-efficient to print larger volumes. Digital printing also allows companies to print on demand at very short timelines, with a high level of personalisation.”
Bui Burke, Senior Vice President Sales at SCREEN Europe, says: “We’re delighted to have Matthias on board. We’ve been supplying equipment of the highest standards to the German commercial print market for more than 40 years, and our latest generation of high-speed inkjet printing systems will carry on this proud tradition.”
“Germany is a very important market for us, so all of us at SCREEN are fully committed to supporting Matthias in his activities and we wish him every success in his new role.”
