Marzek Labels+Packaging presents at the Fachpack 2024 the whole spectrum of sales-promoting labels and packaging for trade and industry

Under the motto ‘Only nature packs better’, Marzek Etiketten+Packaging will be showcasing its tailor-made solutions for sales-promoting packaging and successful product presentation from 24 to 26 September at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg, Hall 4, Stand 4-332 - from highly refined labels to industrial products suitable for mass production.

For production companies, Marzek Etiketten+Packaging is not only a professional label and packaging specialist, but also a partner that works with its customers to develop concepts for optimising their packaging in accordance with the EU packaging regulation (PPWR).

Marzek Etiketten+Packaging's trade fair presence will focus on self-adhesive, wrap-around, sheet-fed and promotional labels as well as fine cardboard and flexible packaging. Using material samples and product examples, trade fair visitors will not only be able to see the company's latest innovations, but will also be able to test a wide range of substrates and embossings for themselves to get an impression of their feel.

Convincing eco experience
The innovative eco-materials used at Marzek Etiketten+Packaging provide a special sensory experience. These include up to 100% recycled materials and combinations thereof, compostable bio-films and materials made from renewable raw materials and sustainable forestry. Fascinating in this context are wooden labels made of real wood veneer, usually maple, which is cut and interwoven. Grape paper, which is produced from grape pomace, a waste product from the pressing of grapes, is particularly suitable for labelling organic wines.  ‘By using eco-materials and the appropriate design, environmentally and nature-conscious production companies can already signal with the labelling and packaging that it is a natural and/or ecological product,’ explains Dr Johannes Michael Wareka, CEO and 4th generation of the traditional family business. A wooden label and a label on grape paper have been nominated for the Green Star Award, which will be presented at Fachpack on 25 September 2024.

In addition to the visual and tactile experiences, visitors to the trade fair will also be able to enjoy a special tasting: the organic egg liqueur from Horvath's Spezereyen Kontor will not only allow them to experience what a wooden label looks and feels like. The opportunity to taste the product in a chocolate tamperl also offers them an overall ECO experience that appeals to all the senses.

Audited commitment to the environment and sustainability
Marzek Etiketten+Packaging is one of the first companies in the labelling and packaging industry in Austria to commit to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and report in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). In May 2024, the company's sustainability goals were validated and officially registered by the SBTi organisation, so that production companies can be sure that with Marzek Etiketten+Packaging they have a supplier that takes its commitment to sustainability and environmental protection seriously. ‘In the 145 years of our company's history, it has always been our goal to hand over a company that is even better equipped and stable for future challenges to the next generation. All initiatives that invest in sustainability and a better future are therefore a matter of course for us,’ says Dr Johannes Michael Wareka, explaining the reasons why the environment and sustainability play such an important role in his company.
Visitors to the Marzek Etiketten+Packaging stand will of course also receive appropriate advice on how their packaging can be optimised in accordance with the EU PPWR regulation.

Labels and labelling technology from a single source
Other highlights at the Fachpack stand include customised labelling and dispensing systems as well as thermal transfer printers, which companies can use to print their own prefabricated labels for products, cartons or pallets as required, thereby achieving maximum flexibility.  Marzek Etiketten+Packaging scores here in particular with personalised advice, network integration, training, the creation of templates, a telephone hotline and a competent service department that guarantees simple and reliable application.
