Mark Andy at Labelexpo Europe 2017 - Stand 4C 45
The updated Performance Series P7 platform has direct servo improvements, a fully automated job register, and more ergonomic design to improve ease of operation. This user-friendly model will be fitted with a solvent-free lamination system, producing food-grade flexible packaging live on stand.
The P7 will also be fitted with a new digital retrofit solution, reinforcing the company’s commitment to digital hybrid innovation. Digital Plus Screen, a digital screen-print alternative, gives users the ability to create dimensional, highly opaque prints, without the capital costs, set-up constraints, and extensive cleaning needed with traditional screen printing technologies. Variable Data Printing (VDP) is supported by the retrofit, lending itself to a complete transformation of job mix on full-production flexo machinery. The Digital Plus Screen delivers high-opacity white print and the ability to personalise a product, meeting the growing market demand for customisation.
On show at Labelexpo in Brussels for the first time is the Mark Andy Digital One, an affordable, standalone digital label press. Engineered for shorter run lengths, the hybrid press is capable of digitally printing, converting, and finishing in one pass. Digital One offers 4-colour CMYK dry-toner process at 1200 dpi resolution, a multi-purpose flexo station for decorative embellishment, and inline finishing.
The company’s top of the range Digital Series will run demonstrations on stand with new applications that highlight its functionality. Combining the advantages of digital with the proven Performance Series flexo platform, Digital Series has been independently recognised as one of the most profitable total-production solutions on the label market.
Being shown on the Digital Series at Labelexpo will be the enhanced version of Mark Andy’s QCDC® (Quick Change Die Cut®) technology. This die-cutting module, which has received an FTA Technical Innovation Award, has been updated with flexibility to run in either semi rotary or full rotary mode. The new QCDC-SR adaptation offers advanced die cutting speeds of more than 300m/min, and uses existing tooling to reduce die costs.
Speaking for Mark Andy Europe, Managing Director Tom Cavalco said: “We are excited about participating in an event that has such an impact on the industry. The next generation of print is here, and Mark Andy is proud to be a part of that transformation.”
