Kevin Gourlay appointed Vice President, Rotoflex
Continues to expand product offering and service capabilities
Mark Andy Inc. is proud to announce the appointment of Kevin Gourlay to vice president, Rotoflex. With more than 30 years of dedication to the leading inspection/rewinder product line, Kevin brings a breadth of knowledge, experience and vision to the role. In recent years with Gourlay’s leadership, the offline finishing brand has continued to place significant focus on its equipment and service offerings. Moving forward as vice president, Gourlay will continue this trend, extending the Rotoflex portfolio with new and innovative products and offering enhanced retrofit and service plan options to its installation base of more than 7000 machines worldwide.
To support the future growth plan, Gourlay has recently appointed Ken Daming to business director, Arpeco. In his new role Daming will drive the sales efforts of new equipment, as well as support the parts and service team dedicated to the horizontal product line.
Additionally, since the Arpeco acquisition in 2010, the unique equipment profile has joined the Rotoflex product portfolio, giving converters the option of a horizontal platform, now with advanced Rotoflex controls and web management technology. The offerings in the Arpeco line by Rotoflex include the Tracker S, Tracker L and VisionTrack, a full range of unique horizontal equipment.
“Kevin and Ken are superior resources in the world of offline finishing,” states Kevin Wilken, president and CEO, Mark Andy Inc. “We are excited to welcome them into their new roles and believe their experience and market knowledge will further support the global growth initiatives of this extremely important brand in the Mark Andy portfolio.”
Equipment is not the only focus of the expanded Rotoflex team. New engineering developments in controls architecture and web management have been significant as well. Under the direction of Manohar Dhugga, director of engineering and service for Rotoflex, the URC 2.0 controls system has grown into one of the most versatile and robust solutions in the industry, offering key functions including one key system setup, multiple secure label count sensors for accurate roll counting, “smart” fault placement to minimize production time and a robust job save/load capability for all job-related variables. Any Rotoflex or Arpeco installation can be retrofitted with this URC 2.0 controller as well as numerous other advanced features found in today’s finishing departments.
