Kartongbolaget brings first HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press to Scandinavia

Kartongbolaget i Hälsingborg AB, a leading supplier of high-quality folding cartons based in Sweden, will become the first company in Scandinavia to install the HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press after signing for the press at Labelexpo late last year. Providing the company with the advantages of digital production for the first time, this new technology will help Kartongbolaget transform its business with increased flexibility and new opportunities for product innovation.

“As not only our first digital press, but the first HP Indigo 30000 in Scandanavia, the purchase marks a real milestone for our company,” commented Peter Hauggaard, Sales and Marketing, Kartongbolaget. “The new digital press will enable us to provide amazing new options that previously wouldn’t have been possible for us. The shift towards shorter print runs and greater customisation has been one that the market has anticipated and eagerly awaited for quite some time, and we are truly excited to share our new digital capabilities with new and existing customers.”

With zero setup, minimal waste, and easy versioning capabilities, the press will also provide Kartongbolaget with a valuable competitive edge, expected to allow the company to branch out into new business areas. The digital press also features a number of advanced facilities unique to HP Indigo solutions. These include VDP authoring tool HP SmartStream Designer, which enables the creation of sophisticated individualized jobs including HP SmartStream Mosaic’s one-of-a-kind variable designs, along with Enhanced Productivity Mode, which facilitates production speeds of up to 4600 full colour sheets per hour.

“With installation due to be completed in January, we are extremely excited to be heading into 2016 equipped with a host of entirely new capabilities. We are looking forward to putting the press into action and exploring new applications with HP’s advanced, cutting-edge technology behind us,” continued Hauggaard. “With their continued training and support, HP has ensured that our company is not only equipped with market-leading technology, but also with the skills and expertise to become digital printing specialists and really get the most out of our new press. This confidence in our technology, and our people, will allow us to focus on delivering the outstanding quality and service that our customers expect.”
