HP to Showcase Latest Large Format Printing Technologies at FESPA Digital 2013

HP today announced that it will showcase an extensive range of HP Scitex and HP Designjet printers and presses for sign and display print service providers (PSPs) and corrugated packaging converters at FESPA Digital 2013, 25th – 29th June, at ExCeL London, UK.

Visitors to the HP stand (H50S/H80S) will have the opportunity to see the very latest roll-to-roll, flatbed and hybrid large-format printers designed to undertake both flexible and rigid graphic arts projects as well as the latest HP Latex Ink Technologies. With new inks and substrates, as well as greater automation and features to streamline production, PSPs are granted the means to offer customers an ever-expanding number of vibrant and creative indoor and outdoor applications.

Extended benefits from UV-curable inks and HP Latex Ink Technologies
Prints produced with HP Latex Inks are odourless(1), making them ideal for an extended range of innovative indoor and outdoor applications where odour is a concern, such as hospitals and schools. The printers can handle a variety of substrates, including vinyl, fabrics, paper, film and low-cost uncoated options, while helping to meet the needs of environmentally-conscious customers. These applications span a multitude of job types, including POS/POP graphics and posters, light boxes, soft signage, wall coverings, vehicle graphics and event banners.

Sign and display PSPs and corrugated packaging converters will also be able to explore the solutions offered by the HP Scitex flatbed presses for retail POP/POS displays, rigid signage and corrugated display for industrial applications. The UV-curable HP FB225 Scitex Ink(2), developed for use on the HP Scitex FB7600 Industrial Press, enables PSPs to offer their environmentally conscious end-users products that use materials designed with the environment in mind. The new Enhanced Color Pack option enables PSPs to add Orange and Light Black inks to extend the gamut and reach further into high-quality applications and help achieve more corporate and brand colour coverage.

Enter the interior décor market with wallcoverings and textiles
FESPA visitors will be able to discover how HP Latex Ink Technologies are allowing PSPs to enter new growth markets and undertake exciting graphic arts jobs such as interior décor applications. Wallpaper printing(3), using the new HP WallArt solution; canvases for photography and artwork, and textile printing for fabrics, soft signage and temporary textiles are all creating new revenue streams for PSPs.

The HP WallArt solution consists of a modular range of design software, media, printing and finishing options to help customers expand their wallcovering businesses. The solution is an easy-to-use, cloud-based web service that simplifies the design, visualisation and production of customised wallcoverings(4).

HP’s expert staff will be on the stand to provide information on how the latest HP Latex Ink Technology and high-end production presses can help PSPs expand their offering, drive profitable business growth and develop their environmental programmes.
