HERMA Self-adhesive Materials at LabelExpo 2015 - super strong in Brussels
• Introducing several new products, HERMA Self-adhesive Materials met with great interest from visitors at the LabelExpo in Brussels.
• Key exhibits included the new adhesive HERMAsuperPerm 63S, new materials for wine labels, and the new user-friendly online store.
At this year’s LabelExpo in Brussels, self-adhesive materials specialist HERMA introduced several product innovations. One main exhibit that generated a great amount of interest was the new, extremely strong adhesive HERMAsuperPerm 63S that allows printers to economically produce labels with tamper-evident funtions. Such tamper-proof features will for instance become mandatory for prescription drugs according to EU directive 2011/62/EU. The final adhesion of HERMAsuperPerm 63S is so high that sealing labels equipped with the adhesive cannot be removed from lacquered pharmaceutical packaging as well as many other polar and non-polar surfaces, such as paper, cardboard, or plastics and steel without destruction of the label or the packaging surface. Elaborate and costly special materials like self-destructive films, holograms, cellophane wraps, or even completely new folding box designs are thus no longer required. Due to its versatility and suitability for universal use, HERMA superPerm 63S is an optimal solution not only for pharmaceutical applications – it is also ideally suited for other tasks where authenticity, safety, and inspection seals are required, such as the automotive, electronics, and food industry.
Exquisite outfits for precious vintages
Moreover, HERMA presented the visually appealing textured textured paper types HERMAfelt white brut (316) and HERMApearly sun (330) – the newest additions to the HERMAexquisite range of materials for wine and sparkling wine labels. HERMAfelt white brut (316) offers label makers high opacity alongside good moisture resistance and a grained surface structure, while HERMApearly sun (330) provides a pearlescent, textile-like surface structure. The HERMAexquisite portfolio includes 23 additional high-end label materials: textured and moisture-resistant as well as coated papers, aluminium papers, and white or transparent films. In all cases, optimal adhesion is ensured by HERMA’s proven 62W multi-layer adhesive. It offers outstanding adhesive properties even in cool and damp conditions, e.g. in wine cellars, and is suitable for submersion in ice buckets. Last but not least, HERMA has introduced its new user-friendly online store at http://shop.herma-material.com. It helps customers save time and increase security by eliminating sources of errors.
