GEW appoints Jonathan Geiger for Latin America

UK-based UV curing systems manufacturer GEW has announced its appointment of Jonathan Geiger as Sales Manager for Latin America. Geiger commences his role with immediate effect and will represent the company at Labelexpo Mexico in Guadalajara, alongside the GEW team.

Geiger has over 20 years’ experience in the packaging industry, primarily as a regional sales manager for the Southern Cone of Latin America. His responsibilities have included managing business operations through channels, OEMs, and direct sales for several leading companies, including AVT and Esko, having begun his career in technical support and sales with XRite’s Brazilian distributor, Coralis. Geiger has a wealth of experience in overseeing complex printing projects across multiple technologies and processes, including Gravure, Offset, Metal and Flexo, for both wide and narrow web applications.

Robert Rae, GEW’s Managing Director for Sales, remarks: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan, to support and strengthen our global sales team. His in-depth experience and knowledge of all major customers and industry contacts across South America will be a great asset in further building this key market for GEW. Adding to this, Jonathan’s knowledge across a broad range of applications will assist us in promoting the diversity of our product range, beyond our core label and narrow web business.”

Rae continues: “Jonathan will be based in São Paulo, Brazil, and is ideally situated to work with our distributors and customers across the entire territory, which includes Central and South America, whilst Amir Dekel, VP of Sales at GEW Inc., will continue to serve and build our customer base in Mexico.”

Geiger is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. His educational path began with a Degree in Graphic Arts at SENAI, progressed to a BSc. in Chemical Engineering, and culminated in an MBA in Printing Industry Management. He pursued all these studies in Brazil.
