From Durabels and Sustainability to Security
VPF GmbH & Co. KG from Sprockhövel will be presenting a wide range of innovative adhesive material solutions at the Labelexpo Europe 2022, which will be held in Brussels from 26. to 29. April 2022. The emphasis will be on the topics of durables, sustainability and security as well as extensive product range extensions for inkjet label printing.
The focus is on a completely new product range for the durables sector, i.e. extremely strong and durable adhesive materials for indoor and outdoor applications. The range consists of a total of ten material combinations, some of which are UL-listed, seawater-resistant to BS5609, Sect. 2 and universally applicable for many technically demanding labelling tasks. PET films as well as UV-stable PE and PP face materials are used - also suitable for subsequent printing by means of thermal transfer, inkjet or laser printing.
A completely renewed range of sustainable face materials and liners will be presented by the VPF labelstock experts at the Labelexpo. In addition to new grass papers (also for inkjet and thermal transfer), the focus will be on silphie papers, translucent papers, hemp papers or a paper made from recycled disposable coffee cups, complemented by innovative PE, PP and PET films with a high recycled content. Sustainable liner solutions made from recycled paper or R-PET open up new possibilities for reducing the CO2 footprint of many labelstocks.
VPF will also present innovative materials for inkjet printing. For example, several novel PE, PP and paper materials have been qualified for water-based inkjet printing systems, further expanding the existing extensive VPF range in this segment and thus meeting the growing demand. Many inkjet materials will also be offered here in future on the basis of recycled films, accompanied in some cases by a significant reduction in the thickness of the face materials used.
VPF's Labelexpo innovations also include new face materials for the tamper-proof sealing of high-quality products. The focus here is on a completely new paper face material that leaves behind a VOID logo when it is peeled off.
