Frimpeks® add new slitting service to UK site.
Less than 2 years after the launch of the Frimpeks® UK site in Suffolk the global label stock supplier has added a 35,000 sq.ft. bespoke slitting and finishing facility in Market Harborough. This facility will become the hub for all Western European distribution with a maximum 3 day delivery guaranteed across the region. This added value service will provide custom slit rolls for label printers and converters across the Western European region with a capacity to convert over 100 million square metres of label stock per annum. A guaranteed next day net width service will be available to UK customers saving time and reducing stock management headaches.
The facility will, by mid 2017, house 4 slitting lines with the capability of producing slit rolls of all material types and at roll lengths of up to 6000m. Automatic roll handling and packing lines mean minimal human intervention in the whole process. The existing SAP system means a fully automated, paperless production flow throughout the whole plant.
As a global manufacturer Frimpeks® is committed to building its reputation in the European market and offer quality label stocks with great service. A newly upgraded hot-melt coating line is also being installed at the Saxmundham laminating plant boosting capacity at the plant to over 90m square meters per annum. The Saxmundham site has been further expanding with the addition of 15000sq ft of warehousing with the existing plant being altered and refitted to support the new hot melt coating line. The plant produces a broad range of adhesives from standard permanents through to deep freeze, removables and super peel on both acrylic and hot melt adhesive types. Frimpeks® operations span several countries including; UK, Germany, USA, Russia, Slovenia and Turkey.

Frimpeks® Saxmundham already manufactures or distributes self-adhesive laminates, inks and digital media. Offering a comprehensive range of face materials including papers, polypropylene, polyethylene and vinyl. This is supported by a wide range of liners including glassines, Krafts, PP’s and PET’s. Ticket and tag laminates are also available and NPD and constant innovation are at the forefront of the company’s development.
