Flint Group informs flexo printers about latest developments

Regional customer seminars in Germany are well received

For many years, Flint Group Flexographic Products has organised regional events for flexo printers in the German speaking countries. Now, in November 2012, once again two meetings took place, one in Memmingen (Allgaeu) and one in Damme (Northern Germany).

The key topic of both conferences was the NEW nyloflex® ACE, a photopolymer printing plate, which offers considerable advantages to the printer, such as sharper details, high contrast images and smoother vignettes. The new plate exhibits outstanding longevity and is extremely stable on the press. Fewer press stops for plate cleaning are required, and downtimes will be reduced. These benefits, as well as less start-up waste, enable the user to save production costs. In the prepress area, the NEW nyloflex® ACE plates exhibit a more controlled back exposure, providing an even smoother plate floor with a more consistent relief. In addition, the light finishing times (UVC) become shorter: Only 2 - 10 minutes are necessary; thus, the plate can be utilised even sooner. The NEW nyloflex® ACE has been especially designed for nyloflex® NExT, and will show its greatest strengths when used with that exposure technology.

Since its market launch in 2011, the nyloflex® NExT exposure technology for precise image reproduction has been established globally. This technology enables an excellent printing quality and much better ink laydown. The technology is applicable for all digital flexographic printing plates and can be easily implemented into the existing digital workflow. In contrast to competitive technologies, there is no need for additional consumables.

Furthermore, lectures on the latest developments in the fields of tapes, coatings, distillation, TwinLock sleeves and corrugated packaging were given by speakers of the companies 3M Deutschland, D.W. Renzmann, Polymount, DS Smith Packaging and Flint Group. Following the lectures, the attendees participated in an interactive discussion to share their experiences.
