Flint Group hosts comprehensive seminar focussing on UV LED technology for narrow web label printers May 23, 2013
Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web hosted over 50 attendees at a technology seminar in their Plymouth, Minnesota Center for Technical Excellence on May 23, 2013. This seminar titled UV LED – The Future Is Today – the Time is Now! addressed the growing interest in UV LED systems for narrow web tag and label printing.
The seminar covered the various aspects of UV LED printing technologies – including ink and press systems, along with presentations on lamps and chillers, and also special print applications. Two highlights of this seminar - a presentation by a printer in the U.S. as they discussed their experience in implementing a UV LED system in their print operation, and the panel discussion which opened the floor to valuable conversation on implementation, return on investment, and the ecological impacts of UV LED technologies.
UV LED is a significant innovation for the narrow web industry – a true game changer. UV LED ink and press technology is the answer for economical and ecological sustainability – and it is available right now! Flint Group’s EkoCure™ UV LED flexo and screen inks are available now! This new generation of inks are running commercial jobs today with success at high press speeds with excellent print results – high color strength and deeper cure.
If you are interested in UV LED technologies, or have questions on the investment and payback of UV LED, please contact Flint Group through Ms. Deanna Whelan at 763-398-2716 or email deanna.whelan@flintgrp.com.
