Flexcon at Labelexpo Americas: Announces Extension of Greener Film Lines

From LabelExpo Americas 2012, Flexcon (Booth 1311, Hall A.), an innovator in adhesive coating and laminating, has announced the extension of two product lines. Flexcon has added down-gauged 1.6 mil Polypropylene (PP) films in clear, white and silver to its DigiPRO® PRIME™ PRI series of topcoated films, designed for narrow-format HP Indigo presses. The company is also expanding its THINFlex® line to include down-gauged pressure-sensitive polyethylene (PE) films in 2.2 clear, white and silver. These new offerings extend Flexcon's "greener" thin-gauge solutions providing converters and brands with more sustainable options.

These solutions are ideal for brands seeking high-performance, environmentally-friendly labeling options in industries such as health and beauty, food and beverage and over-the-counter pharmaceutical. These latest offerings provide converters and brands with multiple sustainable options that are ideal for primary and secondary labeling applications on semi-squeeze and rigid containers.

As the shift away from excessive packaging continues, converters and brands can take advantage of Flexcon's thin films whether printing HP Indigo or via conventional printing methods. DigiPRO® PRIME™ and THINFlex® PE offer brands thinner, "greener" and less expensive pressure sensitive labeling solutions and respond to a demand for thinner liners for recycling purposes.

"Flexcon continues to innovate and extend our product lines to provide our customers with a wide range of 'greener' film options in the market, offering a variety in thickness and in color," said says Rick Harris, Product Manager of the Product Branding Business Team.
