Esko invites FESPA attendees to ‘Take Off with Esko’ for Improved Productivity
At FESPA 2018, visitors to Esko (www.esko.com) Stands 3.2-C48 and 5.2-D30 during the 15 to 18 May event in Berlin, will be invited to “Take the Fastlane” for their businesses by collecting their suitcases on the Esko stand to begin an exciting journey to improved productivity. In addition to Automation Engine QuickStart for Sign and WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated converters, the company will be introducing a brand-new Flip-Side Camera for Kongsberg cutting tables equipped with a Feeder and Stacker. This truly unique solution saves the 20 to 30 minutes of manual set-up time typically required to ensure accurate cutting of corrugated board for in-store displays as well as other applications. When using the Kongsberg Feeder and Stacker, the camera scans the underside of the sheet to locate registration marks, barcodes containing set-up instructions, and the corner of the sheet. It is then able to cut and crease accurately by calculating where the registration marks are in reference to the corner, with limited or no operator intervention.
Robust Demo Schedule
During the show, Esko will be presenting a wide range of public demonstrations and theater presentations that will educate visitors on how to handle design requests in minutes, to streamline signage production and to design displays faster. For a private demo on a specific Esko solution, visitors can also book a demo in advance by visiting this website.
Geert De Proost, Esko’s Director Solutions Marketing, said, “We continue to be focused on supporting the sign and display and corrugated sectors with integrated hardware and software solutions that address business requirements. Automation Engine QuickStart for Sign and WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated converters and the new Flip Side Camera for Kongsberg cutting tables are examples of that strategy at work. Esko’s QuickStart solutions offer companies out-of-the-box, proven and expert workflows for sign and wide format production, as well as the digital workflows required to speed up the time to market for corrugated products.”
At the show
At FESPA, in addition to Esko QuickStart and other productivity enhancers, a Kongsberg C64 cutting table equipped with a Feeder and Stacker and a Flip-Side Camera will be on display. The Kongsberg C64 is a multifunctional, super wide digital cutting table for signage and display applications. Russell Weller, Product Manager, said, “The Kongsberg C, combined with the Feeder and Stacker, delivers the ultimate 24/7 performance and is designed to keep up with the faster, wider digital printers of today.
Visitors will be amazed at how much this innovation can improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), a key to ensuring rapid ROI for equipment investments. The Flip-Side Camera is just one of many Esko productivity innovations that will be on display at the show.”
Also on display in the Esko stand will be a Kongsberg X20 entry-level cutting table together with a wide range of specialty tools. Offering the ultimate in versatility, these tools deliver speed, power, and flexibility to handle a wide variety of materials, such as corrugated, folding carton, solid board, foam, coating blankets, wood and a long list of plastics.
De Proost concludes, “As always, we are looking forward to engaging conversations with visitors to our stands at FESPA 2018, and sharing how our tools have been developed to offer maximum OEE on the shop floor, as well as how they help reduce waste. Based on many years’ experience, Esko continues to lead the way in workflow automation and simplification, and visitors will leave the show with many ideas about how to implement our innovations to advance their own businesses.”
