EPGA launches an exclusive visual recognition technique

Décines, 15 march 2012

EPGA is launching an exclusive visual recognition technique to customize and improve the security of their hot stamping dies.

Since its creation in the 1970s, Lyon-based company EPGA has constantly sought innovative solutions. It has just refined a flexible system of visual recognition making it possible to personalize and improve the security of printing through the use of hot stamping dies.

For use on labels, lottery tickets, stamps, gift vouchers, packaging etc. this patented technique can be employed in many fields of application and has a strategic advantage over and is less restrictive than the hologram.

Inexpensive, adaptable and quicker to produce

The solution designed by EPGA involves personalizing the die itself. This makes the process more adaptable and quicker to produce because printers can use existing film. The tools can be personalized by creating a physical effect, a lens flare effect, or a holographic effect. The cost is less meaning that the client is under no obligation to order a minimum amount or to purchase minimum square footage to ensure profitability for the printer.

This is a revolution in the world of printing which, until now, had no alternative to the hologram in terms of personalization, visual recognition and anti-counterfeiting solutions.
