DuPont Packaging Graphics Features New Equipment Technologies at drupa

Enhanced In-The-Round Workflow, Cyrel® FAST 3000 TD and Cyrel® DigiFlow
Designed to Deliver Higher Quality at High-Speed

DuPont Packaging Graphics (DuPont) is highlighting several of its newest equipment offerings that are advancing flexography by delivering higher quality at higher speed.  These latest additions to the leading DuPont™ Cyrel® brand flexographic systems portfolio will be on display in hall 8b/C24 at the upcoming drupa 2012 trade fair, to be held May 3 – 16 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

“DuPont is accelerating the development of new, enabling technologies that address the market’s need for speed, productivity, quality, and sustainability, and we’re pleased to feature them at drupa in May,” said Edward Baiden, global marketing manager, DuPont Packaging Graphics. “These types of advancements have been and will continue to be instrumental to the industry’s growth and our customers’ success.”

DuPont will showcase a complete Cyrel® FAST Round workflow on the stand to demonstrate highest-quality precision printing for sleeve processing. Key components include DuPont™ Cyrel® FAST Round 1450 FR, a sleeve making system that uses dry, thermal technology to quickly process high quality photopolymer sleeves, eliminating all solvents and aqueous solutions from the plate room, and a digital Imager ESKO CDI 1450 Cantilever with a UV Inline 2 feature in flat top mode.  The FAST Round workflow will be supplemented by a Cyrel® Microflex Multiple Sleeve mounting system that allows the mounting of multiple Cyrel® Round sleeves to register on one single print adapter, increasing flexibility of the high productivity sleeve workflow.  New compressible adapters optimized for the DuPont™ Cyrel® Round Workflow by Inometa will be introduced, which feature a rubber stop and bayonet locking system for superior handling and long life, available in all standard sizes for high-performance, high-speed presses.  DuPont will also demonstrate easy sleeve processing from imaging to press on a dedicated TMB print unit.

Additional new technologies featured at the show will include:
• The DuPont™ Cyrel® FAST 3000 TD system, which ensures outstanding quality and uniformity in a larger 50”x80” format, eliminating size constraints for wide-web printers wishing to benefit from solvent-free processing of plates; and
• The DuPont™ Cyrel® DigiFlow, a new digital workflow enhancement just introduced in February, 2012, is designed to expand the capabilities of digital Cyrel® and digital Cyrel® FAST while enabling great flexibility to create the desired dot shape plate by plate.
