At Drupa 2016, OMET presents the new Varyflex V2 850 Offset sleeves
The new sleeves developed by OMET in collaboration with Rossini: innovation to improve print quality, performance and efficiency.
With its latest creation, the new Varyflex V2 Offset 850 to be officially presented at DRUPA 2016, OMET firmly imposes its presence in the packaging machinery market.
The new Varyflex V2 offset 850 represents a true breakthrough in printing for the packaging printing and is the result of lengthy research and innovations developed by OMET with prestigious partners.
The design of the new Varyflex V2 Offset 850 sought to find a solution to the optimization of performance in job changeover by overcoming difficulties due to the large size and weight of sleeves and consequent time required to perform such operations.
Omet Research and Development Department began analysis and experimentation with Rossini Spa, a leading company in the production of sleeves, with over eighty years of experience in the industry as a continuous investor in innovation.
The partnership between Omet and Rossini was geared to the reduction in the weight of the sleeve and the achievement of ever improved print quality. Thanks to the know-how in specific respective fields, lighter sleeves have been developed to be easier to handle during job changeover and thanks to their composition made with new materials able to ensure better print quality than any other technologies currently on the market.
The HONYALU solution developed by Rossini is an absolute novelty in the field. Realized with honeycomb material between base and aluminium tubing, it allows the sleeve to be lighter thanks to its open cell structure it's able to absorbs vibrations and reduces bounce during printing.
The definitive design proposed by OMET takes into account not only print quality and job changeovers times, but also economic aspects. The hybrid solution, with blanket sleeve in fibreglass and plate sleeves in HOLYALU, reduces line costs by exploiting the best properties of both materials during the printing process.
On the occasion of DRUPA 2016, at the OMET stand, Booth D90, Hall 3, the high print quality of the new Varyflex V2 Offset 850 will be shown together with the improved job changeover speed of the new sleeves.
