A Demonstration in Superiority by Nilpeter
Visitors in large numbers accepted Nilpeter's invitation to “Join” the company’s display of UV-flexo presses for producing high quality labels and package printing at LabelExpo in Chicago. The main exhibits were the Nilpeter high-performance FB-3 and the highly innovative FA-4*.
“We saw visitors on our show floor really wanting to take advantage of the automation on these presses”, said Paul Teachout, Vice President of Sales & Marketing in North America. “We presented a flexografic solution to meet the digital challenge and affect the cross-over point between flexo and digital. Now with a simple recall of a job, fast change of plate cylinders, with full automation resetting the job, we are back into impression and register with zero waste, and that is highly competitive.”
The company also experienced strong interest in the inline QC-Die, Nilpeter’s value-adding magnetic die unit. This module allows operators to ergonomically change cylinders in less than 10 seconds. “The guards come up, the new die slides in, the guards come down, and the automation does the rest. People were really pleased to see that, because the converting is at the same LEAN level as the rest of the press”, Paul Teachout explained.
Other attractions was the Expanded Gamut process demonstrated on the FB-3 UV-flexo press, which produced impeccable labels for the health and beauty sector, as well as Juice Label shrink sleeves. Also the FP-4 flatbed unit for hot foil and embossing on the FA-4* created much interest among premium-quality wine label converters.
The FA-4* is now offered in 17” for the North American flexible packaging market, and with all the automation benefits, this press becomes very attractive to the segment.
Nilpeter has invited many of the exhibition visitors into its Technology Centers in Slagelse, Denmark, and in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they will be given the opportunity to design their very own demo day.
