BOBST to showcase major innovations in sustainability and performance at K 2019 and three regional open houses
BOBST solutions are one step ahead in supporting the industry in its commitment to a circular economy, resource conservation and digitalization. Innovative materials, new technologies, and efficient production processes will be at the heart of the multiple events that BOBST will stage in October 2019.
K 2019 Exhibition
On BOBST stand A39, in hall 4 at the K 2019 exhibition in Düsseldorf, 16-23 October, visitors will discover new and unique solutions for packaging production across different printing and converting technologies. Joint developments with industry partners will cover high barrier substrate production, pre-press, printing and converting.
The packages presented at the K-show will be produced at three BOBST Open Houses. The events – taking take place in Germany, Italy and the UK – are dedicated to CI flexo printing, coating and vacuum metallizing.
“Finding the balance between the need of our industry to think economically and print and convert packaging ecologically has been a driving principle of our engineering,” explained Stephan März, Head of Business Unit Web-fed. “To address the key issues of a circular economy, resource conservation and digitalization, we worked on an effective industry collaboration as it is only through a holistic approach that we can effectively reduce carbon footprint and advance the industry in a way that is sustainable in the long term.”
Bobst Manchester Open House
Visitors to the Bobst Manchester Open House on 15 October 2019 in the UK, will hear about new approaches to circular economy barrier solutions, looking at the new materials emerging in the market (BOPE, MDO PE, MDO CPP, BOPP). They will also see live demonstrations showing how barrier performance can be optimized through coating combinations in air and vacuum.
Bobst Italia Open House
On 16-17 October 2019, Bobst Italia will introduce attendees to the full size Coating Pilot Line housed in Bobst Italia’s newly built Competence Center complex. The line, shown in live demonstrations on the day, will be used for real production process testing, R&D trials, development of new products and promo batches. With its connectivity features, along with a fully equipped laboratory providing real time data control and certified results, it is the most advanced pilot coating facility in the industry.
Bobst Bielefeld Open House
Between 16-23 October, Bobst Bielefeld will demonstrate in its Competence Center the latest addition to the range of CI flexo press for flexible packaging. The new machine leverages the technical developments introduced by BOBST in 2018 that maximize process consistency in CI flexo printing. The new press will bring outstanding accuracy and repeatability of performance in terms of output quality and waste-saving operation to a wider number of flexible packaging printing operations.
