Bluestar Silicones presents a new range of Silcolease® UV Curing Systems at Labelexpo 2013
As a major supplier of release systems to the label industry, Bluestar Silicones will launch several new products in its SILCOLEASE® range at Labelexpo 2013, from September 24th to September 27th 2013 in Brussels.
In recent years significant emphasis has been put on Platinum reduction and high speed running with solventless thermal cure silicones via the OPTIMA II range of products. The OPTIMA range and all the traditional technologies will be supported and promoted on the Bluestar stand but in 2013 Bluestar will put the spotlight on innovations in UV cure technologies.
New UV curing products
For the Cationic SILCOLEASE® UV 200 range, a new odourless catalyst system SILCOLEASE® UV CATA 243 will be introduced along with subsidiary mono-component systems using this technology. Using a new low odour molecule combined with a non-flammable and low hazard solvent this complement to the UV 200 cationic range meets the needs of several sectors and end markets.
For the Free Radical SILCOLEASE® UV 100 range, a new catalyst system SILCOLEASE® UV CATA 102 will be introduced. Ease of use through a lower viscosity and better silicone compatibility combined with a lower toxicity than many traditional free radical photoinitiators are the main features provided by this new offering. This new PI product will be joined by a reactive diluent SILCOLEASE® UV ADD 152, as Bluestar continues to widen the offer in this growing technology.

Bluestar Silicones will also introduce www.silcolease.com, its new website dedicated to the presentation of its silicones solutions for the label industry.
