Bluestar Silicones looking for UV R&D project team leader for SILCOLEASE Release Coatings

For their plant in Saint-Fons, Lyon, France, the company is in search of an experienced UV R&D scientist.
According to the strategy of the company the jobholder will support the growth of the SILCOLEASE® Release Coating business by leading the UV curing technology team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proposing and developing innovative technologies and products to support the SILCOLEASE® release coating business growth
- Managing projects to develop new UV curing silicone containing products according to the company priorities
- Maintaining and developing the technical skills of the team in the UV domain (through internal network/academic skills/collaborative projects/active participation in key congresses)
- Guaranteeing the work realized in his/her team in terms of innovation, scientific quality, costs and deadlines
- Managing a team of four with the strict application of the Bluestar Silicones safety rules
- Supporting the plant to resolve quality issues or customer claims
- Ensuring the proper functioning and use of a coating pilot located in the collaborative platform Axel One
The ideal candidate:
- has a PhD or an engineering degree in materials science or equivalent.
- has a minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in formulation and/or in UV curing products or coating applications.
- has experience in leading projects and is able to manage large scale projects
- is recognized as a team manager and for his/her leadership
- has excellent interpersonal skills and is a team player
- is rigorous, curious, self-motivated and self-starter
- is fluent in English and French and likes to work in a multicultural environment
