Beontag Appoints New CEO to Deliver Next Phase of Global Growth and Expansion
Beontag, global business enabler and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of self-adhesives and smart tags such as RFID, NFC, and Bluetooth technology, is proud to announce the appointment of Alejandro Quiroz Centeno as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Quiroz Centeno, a dynamic executive with more than three decades of experience in The Americas, EMEA and Asia, will replace outgoing CEO Ricardo Lobo, who is leaving the company after nine years.
During his tenure, Mr. Lobo played a pivotal role in Beontag’s transformation from a regional graphic labels company to a true global leader of digital tags, IoT solutions and pressure-sensitive adhesives. The board deeply appreciates his dedication and the positive impact he has made in the business.
Quiroz Centeno joins Beontag as a seasoned international business executive covering a range of industrial sectors. He will oversee Beontag’s global footprint across 40 markets, with a particular focus on the company’s ongoing investment and expansion into North America.
Prior to Beontag, he served most recently as CEO of Latin America for Prysmian, an Italy-based world leader in the energy and telecommunications industry. In this role, his team enabled a sustainable energy transition for decarbonization and helped develop digital infrastructure solutions. He also currently serves as a Board Member of IDEX Corporation, a Chicago-based premier industrial company and part of S&P 500.
Throughout his career, Mr. Quiroz Centeno has served in the leadership teams for multiple high-profile firms including Aptiv PLC, Whirlpool Corporation, Tenneco Inc. and Continental AG.
Alejandro Quiroz Centeno holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mexico’s Universidad de las Américas-Puebla. He also holds executive education degrees in strategy and business, from INSEAD in Singapore and Hult Ashridge Business School in the UK. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA).
Commenting on his appointment, Alejandro Quiroz Centeno said: “I am enthusiastic about the prospects of this role with a company as influential and innovative as Beontag. With the enormous potential of IoT technology continuing to emerge in so many industries worldwide, as well as some remarkable innovations and applications in graphics and label materials, I am very eager to drive this prosperous business towards its ambitious goals. I am committed to build on the foundations of this enterprise for the years to come.”
