Belgium’s Desmedt Labels installs Matho Cuttopress CP-6000 to streamline waste extraction

Desmedt Labels of Bornem, Belgium, located between Antwerp and Brussels, has installed a Cuttopress CP-6000 waste extraction system from Matho in order to reduce its waste volume, speed up its presses and centralize waste in a compactor positioned outside.
The Cuttopress CP-6000 waste extraction system is designed to handle the waste from six matrix machines and three edge trim slitters in the beginning, including an option to add three additional matrix machines in the future. Matho planned, manufactured and installed the equipment as a turnkey project for the customer. This includes the cutting modules, central pipe system, transportation fan, material separator, a professional dust filter system, including air return system, and an anti-static system.
The Cuttopress CP-6000 waste extraction system installation was carried out shortly prior to Labelexpo Europe 2015. A further Cuttopress CP-6000 was ordered by Lithuania’s PakMarkas at Labelexpo Europe 2015 for removing the self-adhesive matrix waste from five presses and six finishing machines.
