AVT makes successful debut as independent business at ICE Europe

AVT enjoyed a very successful debut as a standalone business at the ICE Europe exhibition in Germany, showcasing how its 100% print inspection and workflow solutions deliver printing and converting accuracy and consistency for packaging and labels converters and printers.

“With the AVT Apollo Turbo HD 100% inspection platform as the beating heart of our demonstrations, we were excited to highlight the speed, consistency and accuracy that can be achieved with automated print inspection at the ICE event,”  said Guy Yogev, VP Marketing & Product at AVT. “We ran many demonstrations to showcase how our robust and reliable system delivers automatic 100% quality assurance, visually inspecting a range of printed materials and automatically and efficiently detecting imperfections in real-time. We also demonstrated how the system seamlessly inspects various types of materials and applications, including challenging applications and transparent coating.

“The response in Munich was fantastic,” he added. “It was great to make our debut as an independent company in the presence of so many customers and colleagues, and the level of interest in our demonstrations ensured a very successful show for us.”

AVT was at the world’s leading exhibition for the conversion of flexible web-based materials from 11-13 March, showcasing its AVT Apollo Turbo HD 100% print inspection system as well as its end-to-end color measurement and waste removal solutions. ICE Europe marked the first event for AVT, a global leader in print inspection solutions for the label and flexible packaging industries, since the company recently transformed into an independent company following its acquisition by Porat Itay Holdings.

“Our team demonstrated our print inspection capabilities both as an on-press process control platform, as well as a 100% finishing quality control solution,” added Guy. “With its many process control features and abilities, the Turbo HD system significantly decreases job make-ready and production time, automates manual processes, and provides valuable waste savings. We demonstrated all these abilities and features, including 100 per cent varnish inspection, automation and workflows downstream,” he said.

AVT also demonstrated to ICE visitors various automation solutions, including its AutoSet product for complete inspection automation to drive inspection efficiency and accuracy. AutoSet automates print inspection of both analogue and digitally printed labels and packaging from prepress through to on-press and finishing. AutoSet automates job setup and eliminates setup time and the need for manual intervention.

“We were delighted to share the space and work alongside our Esko colleagues at the ICE show and demonstrate the integration with the Esko Automation Engine,” said Guy. “This integration means that data is automatically sent to the AVT inspection system, where even very short runs can be automatically inspected, resulting in exceptional print quality and process control. By simplifying complex workflows, AutoSet empowers operators of all experience levels to consistently achieve high-quality results. This not only minimizes training requirements but also maximizes the performance of operators at any skill level, enabling teams to deliver flawless production with confidence.

“With AutoSet, we are making inspection an integral part of the workflow rather than treating it as a separate, disjointed and additional production step,” said Guy.

Following the success of ICE Europe, AVT will be appearing at Labelexpo Mexico in April - with live demos alongside partners Vemax at booth #E91 and Brotech at booth #E311 - before exhibiting with its own booth at Labelexpo Europe and other events later in the year.
