ABG celebrates a successful drupa and looks forward to Labelexpo Americas 2024

Leading finishing equipment manufacturer, A B Graphic International (ABG), says that attendance at drupa this year, where it showcased a dynamic range of cutting-edge machines, was its most successful ever. ABG now looks forward to building on this success and preparing for an even larger presence at the forthcoming Labelexpo Americas 2024 on 10-12 September, where they will be exhibiting on stand 3223.

At Labelexpo Americas 2024, visitors can look forward to seeing 12 state-of-the-art machines in action, including new technology such as ABG’s Vectra AutoSet, their 4th generation Converter and the debut of the NSU Lite. The NSU Lite, a compact and affordable model, is designed for those with limited space but who still require world-class non-stop technology. This model features a pneumatic braked unwind system and is perfect as an entry-level option.

Reflecting on ABG’s success at drupa, Matt Burton, ABG's global sales director, said: “Exhibiting at drupa for the first time was an exhilarating experience and the positive reception received was overwhelming. We are excited to carry this momentum forward to Labelexpo, where we will showcase even more innovative solutions."

This year marks a milestone year for ABG, celebrating 70 years of innovation and customer-centric solutions. In line with this anniversary, ABG has announced substantial investments in its infrastructure with a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility set to open this year in Kelleythorpe, UK. This new site will house the production of the Vectra Turret Rewinders range and will feature ABG's first UK demonstration area along with an in-house machine shop.

Dave Lawson, director of ABG's Middleton-on-the-Wolds production site, said: “After many years of growing our production capabilities at Middleton, we are now poised to embark on a new chapter. The transition of our machine shop and Vectra production to the new Kelleythorpe site has been underway since April 2022. This move marks a pivotal moment in ABG's history as we celebrate our 70th year."

Additionally, ABG is expanding its manufacturing capabilities in Germany by doubling the capacity of its Baesweiler site to 4400m². This expansion is set to increase the production of SRI’s, ABG’s fleyeVision cameras, Booklet Machines and Horizon Table Rewinders, which will help in significantly decreasing lead times for customers.

These strategic investments and expansions are indicative of ABG's unwavering commitment to advancing their facilities and product offerings, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving demands of their customers.
