AB Graphic update on new developments at Label Summit Latin America 2020
Leading manufacturers of innovative print finishing equipment, AB Graphic International, recently concluded a successful second appearance at this year’s Label Summit Series. The event took place at the Espacio Riesco convention centre in Santiago, Chile, on 10-11 March.
Being part of the Labelexpo series, Label Summit Latin America is the leading label and package printing event in the region and features top speakers and industry suppliers from around the world. With the focus of the show being ‘Bring your packaging to life’, ABG representatives were well placed to provide visitors to their booth with updates on new developments in the company’s digital finishing equipment portfolio.
Although there was no equipment on show, a good deal of interest was shown in the full beverage label specification Digicon Series 3, being of relevance to Chilean wine label manufacturers, as well as ABG’s Omega Horizon multifunctional table top and SRI finishing systems. Also of note was shrink sleeve converting from Spanish firm, Enprom Packaging - the labelling, converting and packaging equipment manufacturer acquired jointly last year by ABG and Kocher+Beck - in sharing a booth with ABG, Enprom enjoyed a productive debut show.
“The Summit was a key show for ABG, allowing us to engage with visitors on the scale of new developments in our finishing equipment and the opportunities available, particularly in increased automation and faster workflows,” said ABG’s Sebastián Rosero. “We had some constructive discussions with the packaging group, All4Labels Argentina, and barcode and RFID technology specialists, SATO, also based in Argentina, both of which should result in new business.”
On the final day of the event, as has become tradition for Latin American label summits, the proceedings were concluded with a dinner hosted by ABG, alongside partners Nilpeter and Intergráfica Chile. Used as a networking event for colleagues, customers and key contacts alike, the dinner was well attended and hailed as a great success by all those who participated.
