One of Poland’s leading label converters, Mal-Pol, based in Olesin near Warsaw, has fitted Martin Automatic technology to its Gallus RCS 330 press. The ten-colour UV-flexo press, which also has two screen print units and cold foil and varnish capability, was installed in 2016 to produce top-of-the-range labels from a variety of substrates including laminates for tubes and sachets, self-adhesive stock, and unsupported film from PP to PE and PET.

Netherlands based label converter, Zolemba BV, has installed a Martin Automatic MBS unwind splicer to improve productivity at its plant in Haaksbergen. The MBS non-stop unit, which is fitted to a 530mm converting line that has two flexo print stations and two die cutting units, has made a significant difference to machine downtime for roll changes with the line typically running at 120m/min.
