Nilpeter/FFEI shows CASLON UV-InkJet for labels at DRUPA

DRUPA is not a traditional label show, why it is unsual to find Nilpeter present here. However, this year we have decided to bring along a CASLON; simply because of the technical strength and versatility of the system. Together with FFEI at their booth (Hall 5, C18) you will find a small stand-alone CASLON press.

We will introduce the NEW CASLON digital spot colour module, printing digital white UV-curable ink on the booth. Furthermore a new labeling workflow will be displayed. This workflow is based on the well-known XMF from FFEI.

CASLON is an inkjet print system designed by FEEI, it is based on the Xaar 1001 greyscale printhead technology consisting of 4 printers, one for each of the wide gamut C, M, Y, K, colours, each with 5 (330mm print width) or 6 (410mm print width) printheads.

The CASLON system delivers finished product at a rate of 25m per minute (linear). Faster speeds are available up to 50m per minute for less demanding applications providing market leading productivity of up to 1247m2 per hour.

CASLON's calibration system uses FFEI's own ICC device link technologies in conjunction with optimized screening. Optimised screening provides independent control over each of the 1000 active nozzles within Xaar print head. Creating a new screenset specifically tuned for each substrate provides extremely even and consistent printing.
