Labelexpo 2017 proves to be landmark show for Screen

Screen’s position as a market leader in labels has been further strengthened by another successful Labelexpo show. Following the commercial unveiling of two new and innovative presses, the Truepress Jet L350UV+ and the Truepress Jet L350UV+LM, six new customers were announced at the show, including four for the L350UV+ press and two for the L350UV+LM press.

New customers were announced from countries across Europe including the UK, Spain and Italy plus a customer hailing from South Africa. Bui Burke, Senior Vice President Sales at Screen, states, “It was fantastic that the commercial launch of the two new presses was aligned with the announcement of new sales. The amount of news surrounding the show has really lived up to our high expectations and having so many of our customers present at Labelexpo confirms Screen’s position in the label market.

“The feedback we received from Labelexpo indicates the labels market is as healthy as ever and continues to grow steadfastly,” continues Burke. “Screen entered the labels market in 2013, but on the strength of a prestigious background in colour management and inkjet technology, we’re already a leading player. The quick impact of the two new UV inkjet models just cements our position in labels.”

Printers have increasingly been calling for digital label presses that can accommodate a wider range of substrates while maintaining the high safety levels required for food products. In response, Screen met demand with the introduction of the two new presses. Both presses deliver industry-leading, reliable print speeds of up to 60 meters per minute with the L350UV+LM using newly developed low migration (low permeability) inks, bringing unrivalled levels of functionality to food packaging label production.

“Labelexpo was a landmark show for Screen. The UV inkjet presses attracted visitors from all over the world, making this year’s Labelexpo a truly global experience for all involved,” says Carlo Sammarco, Sales Director Packaging Solutions at Screen Europe. “Over 400 leads were collected whilst attendance at our press conference and the stand was extremely positive. It is fair to say that Labelexpo was a roaring success for Screen!”
